• Do you actually work with businesses in Winchester?

  Yes. We’re a web design studio based in Basingstoke, and Winchester falls comfortably within the area we serve.   We’re based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. We don’t have a separate office in Winchester, and we’d never suggest otherwise. What matters far more is that you work directly with the same senior people from start to finish, wherever you happen to be. • Who will I actually be working with?

  You’ll work directly with Andy and Chris, the two people who lead CobwebMedia. Andy handles discovery, UX, design and creative direction, while Chris leads WordPress development and the technical build. There are no junior hand-offs and no studio managers passing your project along. The people you meet at the start are the same people who design, build and support your website long afterwards.

• What kind of websites do you design and build?

  We design and build bespoke websites, custom-built in WordPress rather than assembled from templates. That includes brochure-style sites, content-led sites and WooCommerce stores for businesses selling products or services online. Every build begins with user research and brand thinking, so the finished website reflects how people actually use it and what your business needs it to achieve.

• How much does a website cost?

  Cost depends on the size and complexity of the project, so we don’t publish fixed prices. A smaller brochure site involves very different work to a larger build with ecommerce or custom functionality. Once we understand your goals, the pages involved and any specific features, we’ll scope everything clearly and give you a considered estimate upfront, with no obligation to proceed.

• Can you help with branding, content and motion as well?

  Yes. Alongside web design, we offer brand discovery and messaging, content direction, and motion and animation where it adds real value. These often work best as part of a single, joined-up project, so your brand, words and website feel consistent. Where something falls outside our core focus, we coordinate trusted creative partners we’ve worked with for years.

• What happens after the website launches?

  Our involvement doesn’t end at launch. We offer ongoing WordPress maintenance covering updates, monitoring and security-conscious care, along with continued advice as your business grows. Because Andy and Chris already understand your site and your objectives, future improvements can be made quickly and confidently. There are no locked-in contracts, so you stay supported for as long as it remains useful.
